1 - ARRIVAL IN PARIS

  • From Orly Airport: http://aeroportorly.paris
    • Take Orlyval to Antony station, change for RER B – Nord to Chatelet-les-Halles station, then change for RER A – Ouest to Auber station. Around 80mn, cost 12€05
  • Paris train stations (gare du Nord, gare de l’Est, gare de Lyon, gare d’Austerlitz) are all central and well connected with subways, RER or bus to reach the hotels area (gare Saint Lazare, Opéra metro station, Auber RER A station).

2 - TRANSPORTATION IN PARIS

  • Pricing system
    Paris – Nanterre University is in ZONE 3.
    According to the duration of your stay, you can buy:
    • A weekly Navigo pass (from Mondays to Sundays). It is the most economic and practical way to use all the transportation network inside and around Paris: buses, metro lines, RER, suburban trains (except airport buses and Orlyval). If you arrive at Charles de Gaulle Airport, you can buy it directly on arrival at the entrance of the RER B Line and directly use it to go downtown. Cost 21 € 25, plus card cost 5 € (attention: you need to provide one ID photo to create the card)
    • A book of 10 tickets Paris – Nanterre University. Cost 22 €, which is cheaper than paying for single tickets
    • A Pass transport Paris visite, which allows you to access to all the Parisian transportation network (train, RER, subway, bus). 3 - ACCESS TO THE CONFERENCE SITE AND CAMPUS MAP

  • The Conference takes place in Paris – Nanterre University, situated in the Paris urban area, 15-20mn from downtown, nearby the business district of La Défense.
  • The Nanterre – Université station is served by the train Transilien L Line (favored itinerary for those who stay at Saint Lazare district) and by the RER A Line.

Take Cergy-le-Haut direction to Nanterre Université station. Around one train every 10mn, 15-20mn ride.

From Auber station, RER A - Ouest
Take Saint-Germain en Laye / Rueil Malmaison direction to Nanterre Université station. Around one train every 5-8mn, 15mn ride. Attention, this line serving the business district of La Défense and Nanterre University, it is very loaded at rush hours.

When you get to Nanterre University, go down to the lower floor and take the exit who leads directly to the Campus. The way to the Conference building will be marked.
